The project focus on predicting access to water and sanitation services in the Philippines. Data mining, statistical analysis and machine learning were used to achieve the objectives of the project. Data sources were from the DOST-FNRI available freely and by-request.

The output of the study is published at Journal of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Development.

Payment for Ecosystem Services

A government funded project aimed to assess the willingness to pay of water users for sustainable water supply. While willingness to accept for land use change among upland farmers for sustainable farming. Contingent valuation methods were used to gather responses and logit regression was used as statistical tool. Outputs were published in international refereed journal.

A case study on Agri-Waste to Alternative Energy. It utilizes Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment of Rice Husk Briquettes as Biofuel. The output was presented at international conference on PSHWM-CEWM 2019. Performs the overall Life Cycle Assessment from goal specification, Scoping, Life Cycle Inventory and Interpretation. OpenLCA was used in the data analysis.
